These companies need to be properly protected or they could face a breach, and have all the data stolen. If this where to happen criminals could hypothetically use it to steal an individuals identity, frame them for a crime, or by changing the data logs of the DNA, cause it you infect a computer by just viewing it. The DNA given to these companies doesn\u2019t only stay with that company, it\u2019s often handed of to police as well so that they can put it in their databases. As well as sometimes these companies will sell data to scientists so they can better understand the human DNA and how it reacts to different tests.
