When it comes to hacking, I could use determinism to explain why I think a organization was able to be hacked. The organization does not have annual training so the employees have no idea what social engineering is or phishing. They then carried out their normal behavior, which the hacker was expecting leading to a breach. This brings me to another principle which is objectivity. Objectivity pretty much just means that we are taking the action for what it is and not adding any feelings into the mix. Instead of being sympathetic for the hacker trying to come up with a reason why they are hacking, we would not worry about the why they are hacking, but instead reduce it to they are hacking and deserve some form of consequence no matter the reason.
