The sample data breach notification reminds me of 2 economic theories which are the laissez fare and rational choice theory. These theories relate to the letter because the government is intervening due to the breach putting the individuals at risk because there could be identity theft so law enforcement and the organization is protecting inalienable rights. I also chose the rational choice theory because I think not only when the consumers were notified wasn’t only up to law enforcement, but also when they decided to. In the social science aspect I am seeing a bit of relativism and objectivity.
