Engaging in Communities

Community a group of people with one or more things in common is important to our everyday lives. Community gives purpose, strength and responsibility to all. Community is there to help build, help united and help restore. As part of my insurance community, I was able to help restore the grounds of the Girl’s Scout of America branch in Chesapeake, VA for the United Way Day of Sharing (picture below). As a group of claim assistants and adjusters, we want to make to make sure while we are helping many around the world with their claims, we don’t want to forget to help our local community with the same energy with do the claims.

Also, as minister, my duty is to help others in their time and need and help restore them back physical and spiritual. As a part of my church community, members and I worked along side other volunteers for the Food Bank drop off site in Virginia Beach (picture below). Many came and dropped out turkeys, can goods, cereal, boxed meals and more to help families during the holidays.

Without community, nothing that needs to be done will not get done. We as humans are relational people and being a community will give you what you have been searching for, purpose, responsibility and a togetherness like none other.
