Reflection

Being able to speak different languages has/or will become a necessary. It can help with job promotions, language barriers and an all together better experiences when traveling and visiting different countries.

I have realized with my major, dance major, dance is a language by itself but that languate will not help you on the street when you asking for directions. So knowing a foreign language will be useful and give me a way to communicate with others outside dance. To make those that I meet be able to understand each other on all forms of communications. I am so happy that decided to try Spanish again. I am still enjoyed learning the language. It has been difficult. Pronunciations and remembering the conjugations are still my weakness but my confident has grow and will continue to grow until I am fully confident in my ability.

One of my weakness is being able to dissect a sentences or a statement being spoken to me that I have to answer. Normally, it would take up to 2 minutes to dissect the words, their meanings, and what my response should be. Through this course, I was able to dissect sentences and statements in about half that time. Pronunciations has been my issued since Spanish 101 and but this semester, my instructor and partner has helped me ensure that ‘j’s” are pronounced like “h” and making sure i pronounce the “ar” or “a” at the ending of a word.

My confident has increased some through out the course. I believe that if I continue to study and learn more Spanish, I will be able to speak the language fluently and have an effective key to meet and interact with people in all my positions I hold.
