Eportfolio Entry #4
The United States of America has come a long way, not just as a country but also as an international Powerhouse in all categories. From the military to a strong and growing economy, to even sports, however we have also become a powerhouse in technology and especially cyber security. Due to all the assets, media buzz, and even possible and alleged theories, the US gets attention from pretty much the entire world or if not a majority of it. However, not all attention is good attention. Due to being so large and full of wealth, we have become a target for many. America has founded some of the wealthiest and biggest countries in the world while many other countries tend to be lackluster and more low-key. America is big in tech whether it be Microsoft, Apple, Facebook (META), Google, or even Amazon. But even with a big name and spotlight comes bigger and badder threats. Not just to the company’s directly but to the consumers as well. Of course the US has more to protect than other countries who are underdeveloped and don’t have as much access to our first world resources or luxuries. But with the upper class section of the rest of the world such as China and Russia , we have similar problems due to how big of a role we play and how much we have our hands tied into, we have a large area to cover. The US experiences way more attacks than most whether it be in the mainland or in other parts of the world. We also don’t have many limitations and aren’t as strict as many other countries are. We don’t have much of a strong censorship and hold on what people can say, do or access while other countries tend to be the opposite and make it their bread and butter. We have a top five cyber defense compared to the rest of the world and we only get stronger as the years go on.
