Looking at the list of illegal things you unknowingly do online, most of them don’t seem to be activities that would seem illegal, but mostly things that people do, because they think it’s ok to do them, because no one has told them that it’s wrong. But if Ii had to pick the 5 most serious violations on this list, I would pick, Bullying and trolling, sharing address, passwords etc., faking your identity, collecting information on children and illegal searches on the internet. Bullying and trolling, I find to be justifiably illegal because of the real world consequences they can have. There have been multiple times throughout the years of people being bullied/trolled online, only for that person to have killed themselves years, monthes, weeks or days later. Sharing passwords and addresses is a big one, because that essentially falls underneath doxxing. An illegal activity that has resulted in people begging, harassing and even killed in some instances due to swatting, a practice in which someone gives another person’s location to law enforcements and accuses them of being a serious threat. Not to mention that people can use this to also steal money from individuals as well. Faking your identity online is another instance of doing something that seems harmless on the surface, but can have major downsides to it. Someone can falsely pose as a celebrity or an important individual and completely destroy their reputation by making some outrageous claims online or they can steal money from people online and the cops will have a hard time finding their identity because of the false one they claimed to be. Collecting information on children is just disturbing, as I honestly can never see a reason on why someone would look stuff like that up unless they are looking up information on how to take care of a child, because they just had one of their own. It just makes you look like a creep looking stuff like that up and should raise some red flags, because it can make people think that your going to use this information to fulfill some weird sexual fantasy. Finally searching up illegal information online is a given. So, searching online for cp, how to make a bomb, how to cook meth, etc. should be monitored and looked into by proper authorities, because of the potential danger you could be to society.
