Why are you interested in cybersecurity technology?

My interest in cybersecurity technology is very new and very a drastic change from my previous major. I used to be an exercise science major. This major isn’t necessarily my passion, it could however turn out to be my calling. The reasons i chose this major are the following. It is a new skill that is in high demand around the world, and with our world being heavily reliant on computers and technologies, i believe it is a good field to head into. I previously had no interests in computers whatsoever, i always said that i couldn’t understand it and that it wasn’t for me. But in an attempt to change this limiting mindset i have set myself to becoming somewhat of a “techwiz” and not only getting a degree in this field but also acing every step of the way. I understand that this isn’t going to be easy and that aside from the work on this class, figuring out what i want to do with the degree and my path to achieving it is going to be long and hard. I have very limited knowledge on the topic but through this course and extensive research throughout the semester i think this is something that i will enjoy and be proud of by the end of it. With the help of the next advisor the school gives me i hope to achieve my goals. I know that having a good relationship with my advisor and my teachers is going to help me achieve all of my goals.
