The five most severe offenses among the illegal activities done by internet users are sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others; bullying and trolling; recording a VoIP call without consent; collecting child information; and running illegal searches on the internet. In addition to violating privacy laws, disclosing personal information without authorization can have serious repercussions, including identity theft, harassment, or stalking. Bullying and trolling create hostile online environments, causing emotional distress and sometimes even pushing individuals to self-harm or suicide. Recording VoIP calls without consent violates privacy and trust, exposing private conversations to manipulation or exploitation. Furthermore, there are several concerns regarding collecting information about children, such as the possibility of exploitation, grooming, and exposure to graphic content. Finally, engaging in illegal online searches can involve breaking ethical and legal standards, obtaining and disseminating illegal goods or content, and supporting criminal activity.
