My current major is Nuclear Medicine. Nuclear medicine is , ” is a specialized area of radiology that uses very small amounts of radioactive materials to examine organ function and structure.” (John Hopkins Medicine). I chose Nuclear Medicine as my major because I enjoy seeing internal processes, as well as, diagnosing internal injuries/ complications. As of the current, I have no hands on experience with Nuclear Medicine, however, I hope to obtain some shortly via shadowing.
