Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country

Cybersecurity issues have increased rapidly throughout the years. The issues is becoming bigger and bigger, with technology that is continuously growing tremendously. These issues are not just occurring in the United States, but also in other countries.

In the United States, we deal with many different cyber risks. A major issue we are facing currently is when an individual transfers data to their cloud, known as a data breach. The transfer is backing up offline data onto another machine that is able to access your information while doing that you are enabling a machine to get access to your cryptographic keys. The cloud causes another issue with being able to access credit card information and having spam mail. A spam mail can be opened that could leave a virus on your network or ability to access information. Malware attacks are another issue that deal with downloading software programs, sharing files and not having the correct internet security software. A big risk is losing data. Data loss can causes issues for businesses, this would make them lose information that they have stored for customers. That could be medical records, personal information, credit card number or more. The United States’ biggest risk is being hacked, then individuals can access their information.

Comparing to other countries like Afghanistan, there is a difference. In the United States, we are dealing with hackers that are in the United States, but also out of the country. The higher the technology, the greater it makes for a risk against the United States to be accessed. In a country like Afghanistan, they are not as likely to have cyber attacks. It is not constantly growing, this is because their technology is not as big as the United States. They do not use networking systems as often as the US does. This puts the country at a lower risk for attacks. If in an attack, they would be at risk of personal information going out.
