There are four ethical issues that arise when storing information about an individual. There are privacy and confidentiality, security breaches, system implementation, and data inaccuracies. Privacy and Confidentiality are very similar to each other. Privacy refers to others that keep their information secured; therefore, others cannot access it without permission. Confidentiality refers to having an individual’s information but being able to have it to keep it private unless that person has consented. Privacy in cybersecurity has to deal a lot with hackers that do not have the access to go into another individual’s computer system. There are many websites that collect data while being used. Enabling the cookie block up will help maintain personal information. Confidentiality in cybersecurity deals with ensuring the equipment that is being used is in a secure area. Without a secured area, others are able to collect your confidential information. Security breaches are an incident that an intruder gets unauthorized to access data, networks, and services. They are also known as “break-in”. Hacking attacks are the most common cause of a security breach. In bigger companies, it is common when having a security breach, the firewall will notice an issue and notify to the network. These breaches can also be caused by accidents with failing hardware or software. System implementation is a system that ensures that the information system meets a certain standard. This is completed by taking strategies that are turned into plans, then into actions. In system implementation, the person is usually given a certain task that has to complete. Data inaccuracies is a situation where an individual makes common mistakes, over and over. This is done by multiple individuals that mistaken words or hit the wrong button.   These are the four ethical issues that can arise when storing electronic information.
