How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

Engineers make a major impact on the safety of cyber networks. In cyber networks there needs to be a high safety or security route; therefore, hackers will not be able to get into their network systems. Engineers are the ones who create these safety routes to make it harder for hackers and a safer workplace.

Engineers improve ways of monitoring and providing efficient performance. They monitor the outputs and inputs that are coming into the networks that might have a bug attached to it. Not only is it monitoring the inputs and outputs, but the machines itself. In order for networks to run efficiently, there have to be updates that are done. It also makes it a fast way to run network systems, while it can increase the response to alarms or system failures that occur. Engineers keep up with the updates for network systems; therefore, the networks will be ensuring without having difficulties.  Firewalls are another major safety protection that engineers system design. A firewall system creates a blockage between the internal and external networks in a system. These firewalls can be broken into; therefore, the engineering systems do their best to maintain that.

One of the biggest ways that engineers make the networks safer, is with protection from wireless internet known as WIFI. In restaurants, businesses, retail stores or grocery stores the WIFI can be based on an engineering system like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. Having the WIFI controlled by an engineering system can lead to the side effects of hackers getting into the systems. Engineers take precaution to make it difficult for a hacker to connect to their WIFI. Being able to have engineers with cyber networks can create a safer workplace for the employees as well. Creating this protection of WIFI and on the network, the system allows the employee’s private information to be safe.
