Can you spot three fake websites and compare the three fake websites to three real websites, plus showcase what makes the fake websites Fake?
The first fake website is ABCnews.com.co which obviously we can see that the URL looks off. The real website is ABCnews.go.com, which is very similar to the fake website! On the fake website they posted fake news stories which they gained money from. An individual could be easily tricked if they did not look at the URl closely. The second fake website is buffalochronicle.com. At first glance, the website looks extremely messy and all the information is just scattered everywhere. The information that is listed seems to be political and that is about it. Comparing this to a real website, The New York Times, it is way neater and more organized. There is a variety of information listed, not just political, and it is diverse. The last fake website is cnn-trending.com, which is mimicking the official CNN website. It included the CNN logo and imitated the website, however the information that was listed was pushing scams and was just incorrect information. Comparing it to the real CNN website, they would not include information that pushed people to fall for scams.
