Description: Customer Service is something that I have been providing since my first job in 2018 and have continued to use in every job since. In my last job I was a supervisor at a grocery store and had to provide top tier customer service every day with any difficult situations that came up in daily operations. That role allowed me to really grow my customer service skills, especially in situations where customers are angry about what was going on. Now in my current role in the Network Operations Center (NOC), I still have to use these skills every day when assisting end users while providing tier 1 IT trouble shooting.
Artifact #1: Martin’s Customer Service Supervisor

In this role I was tasked with managing the entire front end of the store which included all customer related issues and check out experience. With this job I worked on resolving issues which mainly focused on customers that were un-happy with their experience and I was expected to fix their problem and turn it into a good experience. During this I really grew my customer service skills and this has allowed me to provide top-notch service to all customers and end users now working in the IT industry.
Artifact #2: Tier 1 Technical Support

My current role in the Network Operations Center is tasked with assisting the help desk with providing tier 1 technical support to end users and patients that are having any issues. This has allowed me to work on combining my excellent customer service with my IT skills. From this experience I have learned the importance of explaining the issue and the steps to resolve it.
Artifact #3: Interdisciplinary Theory & Concepts (IDS 300W)

Throughout this entire course I focused on growing a deeper understanding of Interdisciplinary concepts. For this specific artifact the assignment was to cover all 10 steps in the interdisciplinary research process. The rest of this course was going into depth for each step in this process which provided me with the opportunity to grow my customer service skills. The most important piece that I was able to take away from this course was understanding other people’s point of view and taking that into consideration when providing customer service.
