Certifications

I currently possess three certifications:

  • IC3 Certification: A digital literacy benchmark that tests basic computer skills. Its important for almost anyone in a computer-based job to possess this certification as it helps to build computer skills that other certifications build on later.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist: A certification that tests knowledge of various Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. This certifies that I have extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and ensures that I can use them for professional purposes.
  • MTA Security Fundamentals: A certification that tests knowledge of Microsoft Security Applications and verifies a basic level of cybersecurity knowledge. This certification is the foundation for other cybersecurity certifications and helps form skills that can be further developed by other certifications.

I am currently working towards the following certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification: An industry-standard certification that tests knowledge on topics like operating systems, cloud computing, and other modern-day IT topics. Its considered to be a requirement nowadays for any career in IT or Cybersecurity and ensures you know the basics of foundational skills.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification: A certification that focuses on networking knowledge and topics relating to network implementation, security, and safety, among other networking topics. Many jobs require knowledge in networking, including those in the Cybersecurity and IT industries, and this certification tests a foundational level of networking knowledge.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification: A certification that focuses mainly on cybersecurity knowledge and is considered necessary for any career in the Cybersecurity industry. Possessing it shows you have important skills relating to Cybersecurity and can perform important job duties inside of the Cybersecurity field.
