To me women\u2019s healthcare, especially contraception, is so controversial when it really shouldn\u2019t be. So I felt it was appropriate to explore in depth the opposition to healthcare equity for women because as a nurse I am going to encounter people who have differing views on life than mine and still have to provide them with the same unbiased quality of care. Therefore maybe dedicating time and research to understanding a different point of view than mine might help me approach these patients differently and find an area of grey to connect with them as I care for them.\u00a0<br><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Reason for the Inclusion of the Assignment in the Portfolio<\/span><br><\/strong>The reason this assignment was included in my portfolio is because it demonstrates that I can evaluate a situation from more than just my own perspective and can take into consideration views that don\u2019t align with mine and deliver quality patient care regardless.<br><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Domain 4: Scholarship for the Nursing Discipline<\/span><\/strong><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">26. Applies research-based knowledge from the arts, humanities, and sciences to complement nursing practice.
