An ethical decision-making model will be used along with application of ethical principles and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Student Approach to the Assignment: <\/strong>I found this assignment to be challenging because it was so much data to compare and sift through. Once I was able to determine how to best analyze the numbers and put them into a tables and graphs I was able to easily compare the facilities in this aspect and makes assumptions and draw conclusions to write this paper.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Reason for the Inclusion of the Assignment in the Portfolio: <\/strong>I chose this assignment to be included in my portfolio because it demonstrates my ability to interpret data as a nurse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">1. Maintains an awareness of global environmental factors that may influence the delivery of health care services. (Domain 1) (1.1,1.3)<\/span><br>-Having to compare different hospitals and how they perform makes you realize that there are many factors that go into a community&#8217;s ability to care for their people, and they impact the hospitals in that community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Domain 5, 7: Quality and Safety, Systems Based Practice<\/strong><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">29. Interpret benchmark and unit outcome data to inform individual and microsystem practice. (Domains 5, 7) (5.1, 5.2,7.1,7.3)<\/span><br>-This assignment requires you to take the numbers that are reported and assess them to determine how that would impact you decision making as a recipient of healthcare at these facilities.&nbsp;<br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">35. Describe the impact of healthcare cost and payment models on the delivery, access,<br>and quality of care. (Domain 7) (7.1,7.3)<\/span><br>-This assignment highlights how healthcare cost can impact the patient outcomes because of lack of access to resources impacting the quality of the healthcare able to be provided.&nbsp;<br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">36. Understands the effect of legal and regulatory processes on nursing practice and<br>health care delivery.
