Daley D.D.S. on November 3, 2019. Dr. Daley began her dental career with the army. Participating in dentist training at Fort Riley, Korea, and then residing at Fort Lee. However she didn’t always have a passion for Dentistry. Her first dream was to be a veterinarian after she nursed her own dog back to health at a young age. After working at a vet clinic she realized maybe she didn’t want that career after all, and it launched her dental career. She was always exposed to alot of dentistry in her everyday life, after her own mother lost all of her own teeth at the age of 30. The base of her dental career was built around her family. After her mother lost her teeth, she wanted to do everything in her power to help her family remain in good oral health. After her divorce, she moved from Raleigh to the Eastern Shore and set up her own clinic to expand her practice. Having her own clinic helped in her family’s favor to be able to come in whenever they needed her. Providing her family and patients with good dental care came first in her profession. The most rewarding part to her is doing good work, and helping people gain their smiles back. All the while doing what is best for them, and her employees. Being able to have a skill and perform it while helping people is what makes this job worth while for her. Contrary to that, what surprised her most is how much time and dedication goes into running a private practice, but how rewarding it is in the end. The advice she gave me was to stand back, and look at my journey into a dental career. As I step back, savor it, because once you’re there, thats it. The hard taxing journey is what drives people to be good dentists\/hygienst. Its what makes them stronger than they ever thought they could be. Also, to connect with as many people as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her and hope to use her advice in the future. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Colleen C.
