This semester, I hope to gain a new and culturally diverse approach to the study of psychology. I hope that upon taking this course I can apply my new knowledge and use it to make me a more understanding person and future therapist. I hope to gain a more global outlook in my future psychological studies, and I plan on using what I learned in this class to apply it to my studies and real-world situations. I hope that this course will help strengthen my skills in my educational career and inspire future studies and endeavors.
One of the major keys needed to be victorious in this course is being organized. This requires being on top of due dates and assignments. This course will require me to stay on schedule and stick to a solid plan. Organization is an important skill to have that will be useful throughout my life and in my future career. I hope that lessons and new habits from this course will transfer over into other classes and become positive healthy habits that make me a more organized scholar.
To be successful in this course I plan on setting weekly goals for myself and using a planner to keep track of dates and future exams. Aside from organization, to gain the most from this course, I plan on relating the content learned in weekly modules to significant moments in my life. Self-reflection through activities such as blog posts and archives are great tools that I can use to absorb what I am learning and take them with me on my life adventures!

This is a picture of my family (my father, mother, grandmother, aunt, and childhood dog named Sid). Module 4 and 5 had a lot to do with upbringing, parenting styles, and cultures. Module 5 required me to do deep diving into my upbringing and investigate values that I was raised on and hold onto. Module 6 required me to think about my own culture and to dig deep into what life was like growing up in a mixed-race family. I enjoyed modules 5 and 6 because it was both fun and therapeutic to revisit my childhood in healthy strategic ways.
