About Me

Greetings fellow Monarchs! My name is Naveed Yousufzai, a psychology major out of Richmond, Virginia. I currently work for an investment firm as a wealth management advisor. Intrigued by psychology for as long as I can remember, I find it an important key to success in all aspects of life. I plan on taking the investment world by storm, and that means entering the world of people management, rather than just asset management. My academic history in psychology thus far has helped me in my field when it comes to understanding people, and how to better connect with them. In this day, diversity is key. Not only to portfolio management, but also in the workforce. I planned on taking this course to better prepare myself and understand the cultural differences in our world, and how that can influence people and their interactions. After reading a little through this course, I find that it is a little more than that, it has taken a more personal turn. Growing up in America, in a traditional Persian household, I now relate a lot of these topics and outlooks to my past, and has given me a more inward look at my own points of view. I look forward to the growth that Cross Cultural Psychology will provide me.
