Hello! My name is Kelsey O’Brien.

I am currently majoring in psychology at Old Dominion University and will be graduating in December of 2022 with my bachelor’s degree. I want to then continue my education to get my master’s degree to become a child psychologist. One day I hope to achieve my dream of getting my doctorate and becoming a child psychiatrist. I have a love for working with children and I want to help those going through a hard time be able to grow to be happy and healthy.

Social psychology interests me because it looks at the individual and there choices within a group setting which can say a lot about the way people act and react. I have grown up loving psychology and learning about why people make the choices they do and how that in turn affects who they are and how they view the world. People then interact and the things that has impacted that person’s life will then influence another’s, whether that be negatively or positively. I want to help children learn to be a positive impact on those around them.
