Exploring Culture

Me personally I did little YouTube videos on people actually talking Spanish and they would ask little questions after and I would right everything down and then quiz my self on it and also I wanted the video to get the accent on how to actually say it understand the back story on why the said it the way that they did.Also taking notes in class when I could and going home and rewriting them again with pictures or key words that I could try to remember later on.Also my roommate help me cuz she kinda fluent in Spanish and we would talk a little bit and she would help me with my energy and prouncing the words correctly.All of those things helped me a little in a big way

Engaging in Communities

I feel like engaging in your community while your trying to learn the language would be benefit yourself in the long run because its like your getting it directly from the source and your having actual experience and it would help the process because it wouldn’t be that hard to pronounce or to understand.It was also give the backstory on why we say certain words, and are said they way they are.

Interpersonal Communication

I complete all of the projects my favorite one was when I explain the university in Spanish and talk about everything.I also did a lot of games where I put the word and I have a card and I write the word on the back and then figured out what It mean and that helped me understand a lot.For the flash grades it helped me a lot because I did it my own pace and I wasn’t being rush and I could make mistakes and it was okay and that helped me because It let me know that I got it and I just have to go the same pace I need to.It was difficult because everybody was understanding and I wasn’t so I felt crazy and I thought It was me because I was actually trying and I wasn’t gettin any good feedback so It was a lot.I excel in the partner work because I could ask questions and we could both do it teach then call it out then when I had the right answer I was yeah Im good I got I just gotta do it at my own pace.I learn how to trust myself and that question I have somebody might have same question and to just ask it and trust myself.

Presentational Speaking

For the recording for the university project and I use my voice to describe a lot of the university.Then when I had to explain to this girl that spoke Spanish that she got a ticket for parking in the wrong place.When I did the project for the university and explain it in Spainsh and it got played in class and I was very scared to do it and have to explain it and other people comment on my project.Just crazy because I was thinking like I’m not smart and I just like everybody first time doing it and it’s okay because.I excel at trusting myself and actually being hopeful and not down grading myself either and just putting more effort into my self next time

Presentational Writing

I helped make a flyer for my sister because we had out food to downtown Norfolk and the areas that she got is mostly Spanish speaking people and she wanted a flyer so that we they would take the food and choose like what side that they wanted and I had to speak to them too if they didn’t understand the flyer.I grown in theses assignments because I actually had to know some type of information on line because I had to speak to them.The ending like for the pronouncing was difficult and remember some of the rules became easier the more that I practice.I overcame the difficulties by doing flash cards and watching videos.I excel at speaking like the numbers I feel like I did great on that part.I could pronounce better

Interpretive Listening

I did interpretive listening when I had to listen to a video for lingo learning online and find out what she was actually talking about in the video.I heard a lot of things like how to pronounced different words and to make sure that im spelling the words like I hear and not how they sounded.Just trying to figured out what she was saying in the video by her faces,so that was unclear.I just kept trying and trying and doing better each time.My takeaways was that I have to actually try and just not second guest myself and just try and sometimes I make it hard then it is maybe on the situation or problem.I grow each activity because each one I do better at taking the notes and doing the practices.

I read out my outline for my presentation and translating it so that I can remake into a bigger video.Just the vocabulary on how was I supposed to do it and say it.I just study more and buckled down on it and just try my very best .I found interesting was how everything came together at the end and was actually a great outcome.I found most interesting was how all my information came together to form the topic.I took away was that If I give a little I can actually do something.I grown a lot and it makes me happy to look back and to see my growth.
