Exploring Culture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What helped me the most this semester was continuing to listen to people communicate in Spanish, and speak it myself. The videos that was provided for each unit helped a lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My reflection of this class is I learned a lot in general. I learned how to speak another language and communicate with others in my new language. I learned how to understand how to read it in Spanish. Reading in spanish is one of my favorite things to do since it shows me I know how to communicate. I learned how to conjugate with even thinking about it for a long time. I know the difference between past tense and present. I know more about Spanish now than ever before. Even though I took Spanish in High School. This class was very helpful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engaging in Communities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is very important to engage in the community. We worked with a partner on a lot of the class assignments in my opinion. Engaging with others, especially while trying to learn a new language is very important. When you engage with others that speak that specific language it helps you learn it\/ comprehend it better. It always makes your character seem better because now people know you know how to get along\/help others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interpersonal Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did a lot of communication in Spanish. We used the online textbook LingroLearning. We did projects speaking with our classmates to see if we really could speak in Spanish which was very helpful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first it was difficult speaking in spanish, and understanding what it means. Working with my classmates did change to game for me, and especially communicating with my professor who speaking fluently. One of the projects we had to do with speak with someone who spoke spanish, and make it a video so here’s the video.https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IYaxeHX5sIg<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presentational Speaking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this semester of this class we spoke Spanish very fluently. Speaking Spanish allows you to understand the Spanish culture and how they communicate. We did a project talking about campus lifestyle, only speaking in Spanish. This is one of the things that helped me the most. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HIPcpqkCySo<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I think my most challenging thing while speaking Spanish was debating if I was saying the right words. I overcame it be constituently speaking in Spanish every time I had this class.I know I will stop second guessing myself or being hesitant. I know this language and I will speak it proudly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presentational Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this class, we actually did a lot of written assignments. When we would do a project you would have to comment of a classmates but only commenting in Spanish. We also had our first project in written form, just telling our professor and the class about ourselves in spanish. We will even have our final exam in written form. One of the difficult things was spelling the words. You have to know if a letter has an ascent or not. You can to know quite a bit, because if you don’t you will get points off, which is understandable. I overcame it by simply learning where to put the marks at. Interpretive Listening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve grew so much when it comes to listening and understanding. This was actually one of the easier things before I came into this class, but then it got harder, then easier again. Listening was a big part of the class, we used this skill everyday. This is one of the activities we did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interpretive Reading<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the reading we used in class was culture information. It helps us learned more about spanish culture as a whole. It helped me improve my learning in Spanish. We have to read our classmates projects to comment back under it to give them feedback. It was easy for me to read the Spanish words. Also our directions to our assignments are in Spanish in lingrolearning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
