Technology Building, 1960s<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

The\u00a0Health Sciences Building<\/strong> is located on Hampton Boulevard between 46th Street and 47th Street. It was home to the\u00a0College of Health Sciences <\/strong><\/a>from 2006 to 2024. The building features classrooms, office space for the college and its faculty, clinics for dental hygiene and physical therapy, and the\u00a0University Theatre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Opened in 1959, the building was originally known as the Technology Building<\/strong> and housed the\u00a0Technical Institute<\/a><\/strong>, which offered technical training in the Hampton Roads community beginning in World War II. In 2024, the College of Health Sciences moved into its new location at the corner of 41st Street and Killam Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
