Hello! My name is James O’Leary, and I am a student at Old Dominion University. I am working to build experience in cybersecurity, information technology, and business while preparing for my future career.

My interest in cybersecurity comes from wanting to understand better how technology works, how organizations use these skills and concepts, and the interest ive had in computers since a young age. Through my coursework, I have been introduced to areas such as information security, risk management, many different policies in cybersecurity, and the protection of digital assets.

Outside of the classroom, I am a member of the Old Dominion University sailing team. Balancing academics and athletics has helped me develop skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, and discipline.
