Meme
This meme accurately describes how I feel when we begin a new lesson in cell biology. Some of the topics are so foreign and complicated that it does not even seem like english. However, after a lesson or two on the topic, I no longer feel this way. Although cell biology is fascinating, the introduction of new topics can be extrememly difficult to wrap your head around especially because we are discussing phenomena that we do not see on a daily basis. These topics are often things that we do not think about, but we see the effects of them. For example, telomeres effecting our life span. We all understand that humans age and die, but I had never stopped to think about how or why that happens. This is just one of many topics that we have discussed that works your brain in a way that it does not usually work, making the concept seem foreign initially.
