After searching into the NICE Workforce Framework, I was presented with seven categories. The three categories I want to focus my career on are protect and defend, operate and maintain, and analyze. I know for a fact that the career I want is somewhere in the defense side of cybersecurity. I wanna be able to back track hackers and patch up however they go into the system. Those three sections applied to me the most because each of those hold skills that I will need in order to fulfill my duty on the job. In the analysis part I will learn skills that help me review information and determine what is useful and what not. In the protect and defend section I can gather what I analyzed and mitigate the threats that happened and in operation and maintenance will give me the tools I need in order to keep up a great security system so that the attack won’t be able to happen again. The section that appealed to me the least was oversee and govern. This just didn’t have many tools or skills that I thought I would truly need. Now I’m not saying i won’t ever use this section in my lifespan but i just don’t see a lot of my attention heading that way at the moment but i believe my opinion will change over time as i get deeper into my studies.
