After viewing Andriy Slynchuk article and 11 illegal things we do online, I have selected a few that seem the most serious. The five I selected are faking identity online, collecting information about children, recording a VoIP call without consent, illegal searches on the internet and using other people’s internet networks. The reason these five stood out to me is because it’s just something that crosses the line of boundaries on the internet to me. Faking identity and collecting information on children are my top two. Using other people’s identity on social media platforms is something I’ve seen happen to multiple people and can lead to destruction of the real person’s image which isn’t fair to them because they have no idea sometimes. Collecting information on children is just wrong completely. Children don’t have the full comprehension of what to put on the internet which is why parents should monitor their child’s usage on devices when they have it. Because we live in a world where people just don’t care anymore and will do anything for money or “pleasure”. The others I have listed are just as bad but I had to rank them lower based on the ones I picked. Illegal searches, recording conversation on phones and using other people’s networks is all stuff that shouldn’t be done with given permission to do so.
