This past week has been very stressful! I had a pageant to finish preparing for, 2 exams to study for, homework assignments, a MAJOR lab report to do and prepare for another lab report. Not to mention, I still need to eat, sleep and breath!
I was trying not to go down the same path I did 2 weeks ago when my first lab report was due, by waiting until the last minute to do the report. I thought it was going to be this simple, quick and easy report but I was COMPLETELY wrong…about the quick and easy part. I was and am feeling very overwhelmed with all that i had to do and complete all by tomorrow, Feb 11.
After speaking with a few friends, they kind of calmed me down by giving me the SAME advice I give others….PRIORITIZATION! They told me to make a schedule, aside from the schedule I already have, of what needs to be done and from there prioritize. I first took a stress relieving nap, that didn’t exactly help 😅, then had a sit down talk with myself. I told myself just breath and don’t think of everything you have to do as a whole, take it one course and assignment at a time. As of now, I do not feel as overwhelmed BUT I’m not going to lie, I still am stressed 😂.
I wish I had the spare time to meet with one of my PAC co-workers to have a further sense of organization or with the counseling center to express all of my built-up feelings. But, on the bright side, I know that they will always be a great reference and resource in the future! 🙏🏾
