The restoration of cell membrane barrier functions takes minutes or more after nanoporation with nsEP. We aim at understanding cellular mechanisms responsible for membrane resealing. Primarily, we are focused to unravel the molecular sensors of membrane damage and the downstream signaling to orchestrate the emergency repair response for cell survival. We use high resolution live-cell imaging to monitor transmembrane flows and membrane resealing.
