Hi everyone!<\/p>\n
I’m Ashley! I’m 29 years old and currently in my senior year at ODU. I’m majoring in psychology with a minor in human services. I was drawn to this class because of how I feel it will influence my future goals. I plan on pursuing a master’s degree in counseling after graduation. My goal is to work in crisis counseling, specifically with those who have suffered from sexual assault. I feel incredibly passionate about being an advocate for victims and helping them work through their trauma to heal. I strongly believe that having an open mind and strong understanding and respect of diversity is crucial in the work I want to do.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Outside of academics, I’m a huge book nerd. I read almost any genre, but mystery & horror are my favorites. I’m also super into crafting. I love to knit and I’ve recently picked up working with resin. I am obsessed with board games. I have four fur babies and a fianc\u00e9 (who’s like another baby, tbh). We’re actually getting married this October (the fianc\u00e9 and I, not the fur babies…). To give you another hint at how nerdy I am, we’ve actually themed our wedding Marvel\/Harry Potter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
