2020         $1750 “Democracy and the Informed Citizen Grant” from the Virginia Center for the Book (Federation   

                 of  State Humanities Councils” for a panel on “The critical role of local journalism in support of an                  informed citizenry” at the Slover Library in Sept 2020 (grant co-authors Josette Dubois and  Adale Martin,

Slover Library, Norfolk, VA)

2019         $2000 by the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec to support                 the 4th Quebecois-ODU poetry and the visit of 3 Quebecois/First Nation poets (Louis-Karl Picard-Sioui, Virginia Pésémapéo-Bordeleau, and Isabelle Courteau centered around  the theme of notions of  écritures du territoire.

2015           S.A.C.D. (Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques) translation and production grant for

the   translation and production of Marie Nimier’s play Noël revient tous les ans

2014            2 year Quebec Government/United States University Grant Program, with the Dept of Study Abroad,                        ODU ($20 000 to help launch a study abroad program in Montreal);
