Hello, and thank you for visiting my ePortfolio! My name is Ty Carr, and I am a senior at Old Dominion University pursuing a degree in cybersecurity. I expect to graduate in December 2026. I am passionate about technology, cybersecurity, and protecting the systems and information that organizations rely on every day.

Alongside my education, I work as an IT Support and Security Technician at nuvioIT. In this role, I assist users with technical issues, manage accounts and devices, support Microsoft 365 environments, troubleshoot networks, deploy workstations, and use security tools to identify and respond to potential threats. This experience has allowed me to apply what I have learned in the classroom to real workplace situations. I have also earned the CompTIA Security+ certification, which strengthened my understanding of cybersecurity operations, risk management, access control, network security, and incident response.

This ePortfolio highlights my academic development, professional experience, technical abilities, and growth as a cybersecurity student and IT professional. It includes projects and assignments demonstrating my skills in areas such as cybersecurity risk analysis, security planning, network design, policy analysis, troubleshooting, and technical communication. Each artifact represents an important part of my education and shows how I have developed the ability to approach technical and security challenges thoughtfully.

My long-term goal is to continue building my cybersecurity career in areas such as security operations, risk management, governance, compliance, and threat detection. I am especially interested in opportunities where I can combine my technical support experience with my knowledge of cybersecurity to help organizations protect their people, systems, and information.

I invite you to explore my ePortfolio to learn more about my education, experience, accomplishments, and professional goals. Thank you for visiting!
