To minor in Psychology, students must:

• Prerequisite Course: Psyc 201S (with a C or better grade; Psyc 201S is not calculated in the psyc minor GPA calculation)
• One course from each of the four areas (Area 1-Area 4) totaling to 12 credit hours
• Note: it is recommended to take the Area 1 course after taking a few psychology courses as these courses draw on previous knowledge
• Earn a minimum overall cumulative GPA average of 2.0 in all upper level psychology courses
• A minimum of 6 hours in the minor must be taken through ODU courses
• Psyc courses may not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis
• To declare psychology as a minor: email psychadvising@odu.edu, state your name, University Identification Number, and that you would like to declare psychology as a minor
