During the second 100 hours of my internship, I continued working within the organization\u2019s patient data system with a strong focus on completing and updating the February and March patient records for this year. My primary responsibility involved finishing the documentation of patient information into the existing spreadsheet that tracks key health indicators and visit details. This allowed me to further engage with real clinical data while maintaining consistency and accuracy across a large dataset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My work included entering and organizing patient information such as appointment dates, visit dates, patient names, and relevant health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, or both. I also continued documenting ethnicity, blood pressure readings, diabetic readings, and preventive care measures when applicable, such as flu vaccinations and mammograms. Ensuring that all fields were properly completed required careful attention to detail and consistency, especially when working across multiple patient entries. Through this continued data entry and organization process, I strengthened my ability to manage and update large datasets efficiently. I became more comfortable navigating the spreadsheet system and using Excel functions to maintain structure and clarity within the document. I also improved my accuracy in identifying missing information and ensuring that records were properly aligned with previous entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to technical skills, this experience reinforced my understanding of the importance of accurate health data in supporting patient care and tracking health outcomes over time. By completing the February and March records, I was able to see how consistent documentation contributes to identifying trends in chronic conditions and preventive care utilization. Overall, the second 100 hours of my internship further developed my data management skills, increased my confidence in handling healthcare information systems, and strengthened my awareness of how organized patient data supports health equity and informed decision-making in clinical settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
