little about me:)

hey everyone my name is Rachel Michin I am 20 years old and currently a junior transfer student at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in the strategic Communications department and a minor in marketing. I am currently enrolled in comm 462 sports and strategic communication and I am taking this class to hopefully start my knowledge in this industry because my goal is to work in the world of sports! I have had a love for sports for as long as I can remember with my dad always having others over with food and company on football Sunday and we would throw a get-together for every Super Bowl Sunday. He would come down the stairs in his jersey and be excited for game days! That eventually rubbed off on me and I would start getting involved as well. I went to my 1st NFL game in 2022 and I didn’t want it to end. I love the atmosphere that sports can bring you. I want the readers to know that my dream of working in the sports atmosphere especially the social media and radio aspect when I won a Radio Disney contest in 2019 and got to go behind the scenes of the interview process and in the interview, got to watch some promos happen and got to know a little bit more about that life from the air producer:) stay tuned for more posts
