After reviewing the NICE Workforce Framework, the areas I am leaning towards pursuing
my career in would be Analyze and Protect & Defend. I want to focus on analysis because I
would be examining data to measure results, identifying threats, and discovering patterns
in data to prevent cybersecurity incidents. The Protect & Defend area interests me because
it is strictly protecting and defending systems and networks in real-time, which I am
interested in because of the hands-on nature of cybersecurity. The Operate & Maintain
area seems less interesting because it is about maintaining and supporting systems on a
routine basis, and less about analyzing threats or strategically defending against threats.
