Juggling my commute alongside coursework has been beneficial enhancing my time management and discipline layin a groundwork for my nursing career, down the line.

At the beginning of the year I had hopes of establishing a strong educational base especially in areas such as mathematics and public health all while navigating the trials of commuting and settling into college life. To my surprise this semester has surpassed my expectations. I not excelled academically but also honed my skills in time management and remained dedicated to pursuing my aspirations, in nursing.

Fourteen weeks back I really wish I had realized the significance of maintaining a schedule and keeping up with my assignments to excel in my courses sooner on in the term! Recognizing that putting in effort every day can truly make a significant impact would have boosted my confidence and reduced my initial feelings of being overwhelmed.

At the start of the semester, I did not study much for each class probably because I was getting used to the workload and trying to find better ways to study effectively. Now I spend more organized and time studying – maybe 1-2 hours per class per day – since I have figured out how to prioritize my tasks and manage my time more effectively. This change has improved my performance in subjects such, as math and public health.

I have improved how I approach my studies lately by being more structured and purposeful about it all compared to before the semester started when I used to study randomly and cram right before exams came up; now I follow a consistent routine where I divide my study material into smaller sections and engage in active learning methods such as practicing problems and creating summaries of key points. In addition to that shift, in strategy; I have also started giving importance to the subjects that are particularly challenging for me and making the most of my commuting time by reviewing my notes on the go.

During this semester I have discovered an asset in my professors office hours where I can ask questions and seek clarification, on challenging topics that have enhanced my comprehension levels significantly. In the semester I intend to ulitize this resource more regularly to keep up with my coursework and broaden my knowledge base.

For the semester ahead of me I aim to stick to a regular study routine and divide my studies into smaller sections for daily review. I’ll focus on engaging in learning methods such as practicing with questions summarizing important ideas and explaining concepts to others. Additionally I intend to take advantage of resources, like office hours and study sessions all while establishing weekly objectives to ensure I stay focused and organized.

The fields of sociology and chemistry play roles in enhancing human heath by investigating social dynamics and chemical processes that impact wellness alongside public health efforts to create strategies and policies, for addressing health disparities based on these findings in a collaborative manner that benefits overall well being.

If I were not pursuing nursing, I’d be interested in public health or pschology. Public health appeals to me because it aligns with my passion for helping communities through preventative care and education, which complements nursing. Psychology fascinates me because understanding human behavior and mental health could enchance my ability to provide holistic care to patients as a my ability to provide holistic care to patients as a healthcare professional. Both fields would still allow me to make a positive impact on others’ well-being.

Having a strategy gives me a feeling of assurance and adaptability by having other potential career paths in place in case my initial one does not plan out as expected. This approach helps alleviate pressure. Keeps me driven as I understand that I can still follow important aspirations that resonate with my passions and aptitudes such, as public health or psychology if my pursuit of nursing does not succeed. It is a method to remain focused and adjust to unexpected obstacles.

Both public health and psychology have the potential to significantly enhance my nursing career in ways. Public health offers insights into disease prevention on a scale and community health programs along with understanding healthcare policies; this knowledge could assist me in meeting the diverse needs of patients beyond just their immediate bedside care. Psychology complements nursing by providing a deeper insight into mental well being, behavior patterns and effective communication skills helping me offer more compassionate and comprehensive care to those, under my treatment. When combined these disciplines equip me to cater to individuals and communities in a holistic manner.

Reflect on the Fall semester and the overall experience of your first semester at college.
