Critical Thinking

I believe the concept that puts a lot of people in harm’s way is people inability to critically think. While I to face my own trials and tribulations, I believe I possess the ability to think things through effectively even in more crucial or critical situations. Throughout my journey so far this skill has allowed me to preserve through many situations that I at the time deemed to be frustrating, stressful, or difficult. In the cybersecurity field failure to think before acting can lead to rather disastrous consequences for whole organizations and even the people that depend on them.

Versatility

Cybersecurity is officially classified as an interdisciplinary science likely because it is composed of so many sub concepts like vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, etc. As stated earlier, cybersecurity is a constantly evolving field. Additionally, everything is digital and therefore intangible meaning there is minimal forms of physical evidence of anything that may occur on the cyber level. Ultimately, this phenomenon naturally means that specialist in the field must possess tremendous versatility to be able to understand everything that is presently and may occur within a given network. I believe that throughout college my personal level of versatility and adaptability has been tested time and time again which is why I believe I can confidently state that it is a skill that I definitely possess. The three artifacts that I will present following this portion of the paper are assignments with zero relation with one another and ultimate reflect upon my own versatility.

Attention To Detail

A lot of our everyday tasks throughout everyday life seem to be pretty much simulated because we are so used to them for example driving, eating, and for most professions even work. Although a lot of professions allow for this due to the amount of repetition they involve, cybersecurity is one of the fields where professional simply cannot allow this to be that case because if a single detail is overlooked it could lead to catastrophe in the end. Fortunately, as proven in the following artifacts I do not suffer from the inability to pay attention to details when it is of upmost importance.
