This semester I was able to explore and learn more about the family side of things and what roles were played. Another thing I learned about how health care situations are different and function between Hispanic and American countries.
What I pulled from the research on how the definition of family works and what is everyone’s role. In the Hispanic culture, they have a really strong sense of family and how each role varies. Everyone has a place where they can benefit their family. How everyone is sat up is the father works and the mother stays at home. It used to be that way and it may still be in some ways but times have changed. I call it the old system in how things used to be is what some of the Hispanic cultures are still in but it is all about generations and traditions that go along with their roles. This then leads to the health care side and differences between both Hispanic and American cultures. I was surprised about this because I thought everyone had health care struggles. Which changed my whole view now and realized that America sucks at taking care of the people. Now I know in the Hispanic culture they take family seriously because their healthcare is better. At least in the Hispanic culture side of things they at least give people a chance to get health care and the benefits they need. Their government is still about money but let’s put the people first.
