In this section I will use a lingrolearning assignment from unit 18 regarding an essay from Dr. Zamora about Diversity among individuals who have an Latino identity. Another assignment I will use is from Unit 19 about terms from Hispanic culture. I learned a lot through these reading assignment because it was more factual. Both assignments did require me to go out and look into more research.

Although unit 18 was a vocabulary unit it did provide some insight on who identifies based off their generations from ancestry to where their parents live. I thought It was interesting because I did not know that Latinos have different classification names. It was difficult to understand both assignments but what I love about both is that they went together. In unit 18 it only showed a fracture of the idea about Dr Zamora diversity in Latino individuals. It came full circle when I dove inside unit 19 and it all made sense which brings back to the terminology of the Hispanic culture because it all has a purpose and history behind it. It amazes me how most of them sound a little stereotypical to me at first but in unit 19 it gave a reason how and why they were used. Some of them would be used in a political way which was helpful and understanding. Unit 19 going into the terminology within the culture helped me overcome the difficulty in unit 18 with a brief summery of Dr. Zamora’s essay.
