In this section, I will be talking about my presentation on food recipes. Another assignment I will mention is my family presentation assignment. They helped me further and strive for me to carry on a conversation.

Both assignments were challenging because it was hard to come up with descriptive words. I mean I had to be creative and use the words I had and combined them to say the word I was thinking in English. The cooking presentation was difficult because there were a lot of phrases I needed to use but could also not use them. I tried to keep it simple which was challenging considering we had to speak in chronological order. It was interesting to further our speaking not only by having a conversation but to test your knowledge to see if you can give directions. It was challenging for me personally because I am not good at giving directions, especially in a different language. Although this assignment did help me think outside the box by using past vocabulary and coming up with different ways to say what I was thinking.

The presentation on my family was not as difficult but I still had the same problem of not using more words. It is hard when vocabulary is limited and there is only so much you can do with what you have. I had to remind myself to think about using words from previous units from last semester and this semester to strive and expand my vocabulary. I think the only benefit of this assignment was that it expanded on descriptive words for people. It did help me a lot to think about describing people in Spanish with not just their personalities but appearances. I want to improve myself on these things of descriptive narrative of speaking so that I will know what to expect of me if someone were to ask.
