Humans don’t usually do bad without a reason. The reason can either be good or bad but there is something that caused them to commit certain actions. A good reason would be if a man had a starving family. The government wouldn’t help, he couldn’t get a job that paid enough, or things are too expensive. This man could resort to stealing what he needs to keep his family alive and he is then ridiculed and sent to jail. His family is in a worse predicament now since he is gone and the state still will not help them. It is a never ending cycle. This is why many people continue to be criminals even after being incarcerated. A bad reason would be because you are greedy. You just want more to have more than others or because you enjoy taking from others. Wanting designer clothes or a luxury car is not an excuse. Neither is a starving family in the eyes of the law but you could see the desperation compared to the greed. Identity fraud is a huge business. Taking others information and using it as your own to obtain things usually big purchases like cars or homes. Smaller forms of this can include credit card fraud. Stealing credit card information and buying a pair of shoes or an expensive purse and having a nice dinner afterwards. This is the life some people live in order to feel luxuries. The best part for them is that it is all for free. They can come across thousands of dollars in a day to do what they want and it becomes an addiction. At first these sorts of scams can just be to buy small things like a new video game but can become a hobby. It becomes a way of life and many people aren’t going to want to settle into a minimum wage job where they will struggle and eventually have to resort to crime once again.
