Password cracking was definitely my favorite lab. Brute forcing passwords was fun to me because I have an interest in becoming an ethical hacker. This was my first time actually finding out something like a password that is supposed to be a secret. We used a tool called John the Ripper to brute force passwords from users we created. I was able to get half the passwords but the others were just too advanced.
