Developing a good understanding of these topics required discipline and time management. These skills directly relate to leadership, as cybersecurity leaders must assess risks, make responsible decisions, and understand the broader impact of security actions on the organization.

A major outcome of this course was successfully earning my CompTIA Security+ certification. Preparing for and passing the exam demonstrated personal accountability and commitment to professional growth. This achievement increased my confidence in my technical knowledge and reinforced the importance of continuous learning, which is important for leadership in a rapidly evolving industry.

Also, CPD 395 improved my ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly. Effective leadership in cybersecurity requires translating technical risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

CPD 395, also known as the CompTIA Security+ course, contributed a lot to my development as a leader during my time at Old Dominion University.
