Interdisciplinary Theory and Concepts – IDS 300W<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This class offered insights into interdisciplinary study, analyzing its history, theory, and practices. The emphasis throughout was on the ways various disciplines deal with different kinds of knowledge, issues, and solutions. During this course, I paid attention to the similarities and differences between various disciplines and the ways their combination could help resolve issues in a better and more effective way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a component of the writing-intensive class, I have written a research paper on cybersecurity as an example of interdisciplinary studies. I applied the ideas gained during this class to show that cybersecurity is a broader concept than just one of technical aspects. The research paper included such elements of cyber threats as sociological, ethical, and policy-based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This class helped me improve my skills in conducting research and writing papers. Moreover, it helped me realize that to address cybersecurity issues properly, an interdisciplinary approach is essential.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
