My website explores how social media affects young adults today, and I will be looking at both the positive and negative impacts it has had. For example how it helps people stay connected with others, but can also lead to issues like stress, anxiety, or low self-esteem. My goal of this website is to share the honest truth of social media, both a good and bad sides. I hope the information will help teens, young adults, and possibly parents make smart choices about social media use.

For young adults, social media plays a major part in their daily lives, but what are the effects that people normally have to face as a result of using it daily? My website analyzes how social media affects relationships, how you view yourself, mental health, and your overall daily life. This is to help weigh the pros and cons of spending time online by sharing true experiences, helpful suggestions, and data based on research. Below are just some quotes from the research I have done. Hopefully this website will  help make you have a healthier realtionship with social media, regardless of whether you’re a parent, student, or just curious.

“1. Social media makes me constantly compare myself to others, which often leaves me feeling inadequate.

2. Sometimes scrolling too much makes me feel disconnected from real life

3. I think it actually. makes time pass and keeps my mind occupied Instead of being stuck in my own head”

“Find myself comparing myself to others, overconsumption, constant need for stimulation”

“There are some good things that come from Social media mostly bad of all the content that’s on it”

when i’m stressed out i find myself watching videos that make me feel better knowing there’s other people going through similar situations
