In this past assignment, I learned about the different types of intercultural sensitivity. There are many different levels of sensitivity to cultures or behaviors different from your own. In my African American Psychology class, we are discussing history and differences among black people and white people and it is essential to be respectful of the people of other races in the class, because most of us in the class are African American. Analyzing these different levels was remarkably interesting to me. Specifically, because of the climate our country is currently experiencing, due to the heavy disagreements among racial groups, political groups, and overall everyday disputes from person to person throughout the media. I have found myself in these debates in real life and on social media, and this assignment has made me more aware of my behavior and how I come off to others. In addition, i have a goal of intercultural sensitivity that I want to reach and with the help of this assignment, I have tips and ideas on how to improve.<\/p>\n
