Born in Puerto Rico and raised in a proud Hispanic household, I have been taking Spanish classes since middle school to keep my speaking skills sharp. At home, I barely speak my native language in favor of English, since it is what surrounds me both at work and at school. As I began to live and dream in English, I grew a passion for writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creating stories in my mind and translating it all into vivid images with just words on paper gives me a strength and freedom that I cannot possess in the physical world– in real life. When I hurt and when I rejoice, I pour it all into the pages, so that I can communicate in ways that others can feel, not just hear. Writing saves me from my inability to verbally express myself, and it allows to share my worlds with anyone who opens their eyes and heart to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It makes sense that my love for the English language would lead me to pursue a degree in Creative Writing. With this education, I hope to become an editor, screenwriter, or author, continuing to pursue more ways to weave words into thought-provoking pieces that spark the imaginations of thousands… and, maybe one day, millions. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
